This begins a new section on hope.
Therefore since we have been declared in the right on the basis of faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have been allowed to approach, by faith, into this grace in which we stand; and we celebrate the hope of the glory of God. (Romans 5:1-2)
Therefore: introduces a new section based on everything proceeding it.
Since we have been declared in the right on the basis of faith: 1) we have faith in Jesus dying for us on the cross 2) which makes us to be declared in the right in the future judgement 3) assuring us a present salvation. This is justification by faith.
We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: we are now reconciled in our relationship to God. We now enjoy the peace which God originally gave to us.
Through him we have been allowed to approach, by faith, into this grace in which we stand: an image going back to the temple where not anyone was allowed to approach God for God is a holy God and God may not come in contact with anything which is not. But through Jesus taking on the sacrifice we are now freely able to approach God.
And we celebrate the hope of the glory of God: we can now celebrate, because we have hope that one day God's glory will be evident throughout creation.
